Precipice Innovation

One has to wonder a few things over. In a single particular order when it comes to Climate Change, this remains paramount to address. For the longest, hardest times of relief and aid to matters of human doing and suffering, still, there was the element of geography and geopolitricks at play.  Without going into depth of what is meant by this, look at where poverty seemingly is by design ..alongside diseases and big name involvements. Yet still it could be considered of a human attribution for these unmet challenges. But when we look at very literal, visible climate related matters - we can't wait to act on these with interventions. If things can even be intervened. World encounters of mass biodiversity destruction like currently seen with Brazil's floods are starking eye openers,  once again. We know food systems are imbalanced and climate demands a complete overhaul in how to address industrial designs and processes. Greed and dominance still at play in whom gets to faster and

No substitutes for basic health

Image
Today I spotted someone from a distance with a cold sore that stood out as he was walking towards the treadmill. Much of what we know is those things are not a good sign of a immunity and are a form of a hepatitis/STD related, laying dormant to never go away as are with warts on hands etc. What I am saying is that even with advance medical choices, you still must excercise basic care for all else to complement health and wellbeing choices.  Washing of hands is necessary and no vitamins can substitute for that cleanliness if you just think over things like public door handles, elevator buttons, money and all the exchanges of it ..to then to use your hands to apply moisturizer your own face, to cook, to handle kids etc.  It's like the basic principle of wearing hairnets in industrial kitchens and with food handling or preparing of (massive respect to Big Mouth Sandton specifically as not spotted in other top end sushi bars frequented). Some basics apply and always.  Like no 'perf

On a day like this..

This post is not about me. It's a day of a loss to many of us, near and far. And a gain to the Almighty on return of His young son, complete and safely kept. In the quiet of  a day where circumstances silences the outside, I am reminded of a few things. Mostly, a decision I made young to impact and to live serving Life to the best I know. Often it doesn't look like the one or two to help, but it's the exact decision which would be needed for a vision my company was lent to me with. Lent, because I don't think anything or anyone belongs entirely to another, or even meant to be here forever.  But what helps is in knowing the purpose in which you do the things you do, and to trust that the spirit of well intended things lives on..as you will young man. And so for me, Sea-Stematic was intended in serving the highest intentions for Humanity to the best I knew when I started it.  And its something which I hope lives well on for a long time or as long as its lent in serving th

Sleep when you must!

To have a company in a forward leaning sector where industrialist nations refer to it as an economic stumulus, the factories of the future and a next space race, can be somewhat extraordinary to say the least. This, together with keeping relevant through fast paced business developments, making real time and well considered decisions while remaining ethically bound to the wings of the vision, leaves you in constant think mode at hours deemed for rest. By who exactly is rest confined to conventional patterns and hours which anyway some of the world's most extraordinary people have shown to reject in sleeping at work desks for a bit or their production floors. And still achieved anyway. My Asian colleagues for weeks would do the rest, work, rest, refresh -all at work- thing.  I'm that person who sleeps only a few hours. I can also can sit for hours thinking and prefers to do so alone and even at the expense of most inviting company or events. I get that my friends in health and

Aging well

Firstly, I think to age well requires sound stress management through life's stresses. This could be in lifestyle choices pertaining to excercise and diet,  mindfulness practices and then interventions like advanced vitamin cocktails intravenously taken. I'm such a fan of but toned the iv drips down recently, upped my water intake again but am yet to get back into my hour run.  I drink less coffee and decided to be kinder to my body in doing so. I mean 7cups a day! Diet still remains the fastest way to affect your mood and to eat a home cooked meal that's made with good ingredients,  even in a basic meal, matters most. I don't think you can go wrong with keeping the stuff you like on your plate but to what extent will that add value is to be asked if the frequency is daily. Mind matters like community engagement, group based games or crosswords still help with brain related matters but let me leave that to Andrew Huberman labs to speak further to. I'm reminded of ho

The Circle and Cycle of Life.

Happy Birthday Nelson Mandela! Earlier this year I had to observe at lunch the disposition of an Indian male towards other males at the table that was off. Simply because of their race. I corrected him after. I also know I would exit Indians or add anyone to any matrix, almost deliberately,  that makes sense to being human, humane to a sound human condition.  Try own me, you'll first lose me and I don't care who you are or what you have. So is that my own Mandela stance? Mandela and me met only once and about 20years ago. Currently I noted a Mandela competition based  who's the next's to fill his large shoes in the future. I believe daily everyone can have a Mandela presence. And this is not BBEEE or WMC or excluding the global 1% 'ers. If I may, can we get a HEEE perhaps? H being for Human because the world is very complex as Yuval rightly outlines but it is what we know for now. Personally my life was simpler unknowing much but it leads to re-realise even more..

Incredible people, like stars destined by fate, find one another.

The other day I posted a video where I had to try really hard to contain my enthusiasm as to how people and I met through the most natural and extraordinary ways. Literally as strangers, in totally external spaces minding our own respective businesses, brought together by an accomplished artists paint stains on his sneakers. The immediate and hours into understanding one another can only be summarised as divine orchestration. When hours pass and there's no concept of time felt or where even quiet spaces don't feel empty, one is in very good company of people. People who I am certain I will be sharing a very significant part of my life in friendship if not more business related. Futurists and purists at heart, where an extrovert but also private person like me who enjoys the peace of thinking or hosting in quiet spaces like my own space, will say that was one stepping out of a lifetime. I've had one other that changed much in different ways.  This however could be the bigges
