"Communities" and its suggested sense of belonging as seen in modern day business culture's is merely a revisit on traditional values predating sophisticated business structures. Basic, personal values is what largely formed the molds that people acceded to under the guiding principles of what they commonly endorsed. However liberating or limited, the binding values was what connected hearts, minds and spirit into collectives referred to as "Communities". My last few weeks have been interesting. With tangible business developments and in me asking myself many more personal questions, to being surrounded by wonderful people, I know I am stronger and happier to be in wholesome Business and Personal Communities.  Communities where your word means something and what we share in vision and through understanding has guarantees beyond contracts, personal expectations, status and money. The last week's have been anxiously, incredible for me! I've had the opportunity to work towards new projects and to expand on existing ones. MaricaCo. was founded on the basis of business being the vehicle to accelerate societies and humanity at large. To align, and by invitation, with forward facing businesses and leaders for me as an aspirant (and in the making of a !!) Global Enterprise, gives me a restlessness I like. I've come to understand that business grooming comes disguised in how you manage daily undertakings, process, decision making, progress and reporting. What's in a www. This is what's in mine! I knew MaricaCo had to have an online presence and a www brand refresh. This way I wouldn't be a Banksy in the world of business. There but invisible... if you know what I mean. I needed a brand refresh and an online profile to truly represent me and as the founder of a Future's Facing Firm. I had the social presence (thanks to my own "presence") which predated the commission of the MaricaCo new website build.  My business mentor and the owner of the legal firm that advises my business, Terry Scott,  always reminds me of the "presence" I have in a room. What's not to love about skin?  The thought of touch or the individual scent unique to each one. However intimate or innocent, skin matters to me. More so my own. Before I share some of my recent activities on my skin journey, it's important to say that mine started with a bestie and a trip. The rest is just visible history. I exercise regularly but not as often as I used to just last year. While I eat relatively consciously through my few, daily bad habits (I love chocolate and coffee!), I'm a vegetarian for over 20 years. I enjoy an occasional glass of wine or whiskey and an annual cigar.  I'm fussy about being exposed to poor air (I literally distance myself in the company of smoker's) and I never sleep with makeup or without taking a shower and moisturizing at bedtime. Mostly though, I identify with being the owner of a 24/7 "always on" startup that stresses me 24/7 for all the right and wrong reasons! All in all, you could say that...

Stars, a clear night's sky and the thought of what lies beyond does fascinate me. It gives me a profound sense of peace and wonder of my solitary and collective existence. Looking at a sky full of stars so easily meets my eyes with no resistance. This is why I love a particular art piece of mine which has a women pensively looking upwards. I feel that this particular piece was inspired with its sole intention being to find its way to me. Interestingly, everyone that views it asks if it's me. I simply smile and sometimes respond with "what do you think?". So maybe it is all these insights about me that explains my respect for Elon and Richard. I've been known to, unashamedly, take my laptop on exotic vacations and to cancel vacations to be in office in front of my laptop! While in corporate I had my CEO's in different roles/companies tell me to take some time to rest. I am correct in saying it's the same personal investment, over-investment-combined with circumstances at the time- which directed me into business. Would I change anything I could? Nope! Do I have a choice for now- Nope! I've come to label my desire (or by self label "my disease") for Impact through business as one I cannot cure and personally one I don't want to. I've chosen projects and business beliefs over too many personal life choices - for years now. I've on occasion woken up from deep sleeps and at odd hours talking off the cuff about my projects and dream projects. About Richard Branson and Jack Ma! I'm no relationship expert! But I have, over some time, heard of and witnessed relationship "failures". My own two included. Left wiser? Maybe! Left happier? After a while, yes! Again, I'm no relationship expert! But I have wondered what has been so fundamentally flawed with both men and women alike when in relationships? To me it has felt and does seem as if we are bypassing fairly simple matters in return for complicated, complex and downright broken relations. Big and not so great words from the eternal optimist I find myself to be! Look, I could if I wanted to,  take a note from any spiritual "guru" whose disposition on failed everything (including relationships) is merely "a sign of the times". But then again I simply can't digest that notion when everything else about my approach to life screams great information and aid readily available for creating a bright Future - Now.
